Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society is the only national organization for Middle School and High School students that recognizes excellence in the field of Social Studies. Junior Rho Kappa provides national recognition for outstanding students and encourages an interest in, understanding of, and appreciation for Social Studies. Rho Kappa is a division of the National Council for Social Studies (NJCSS). NJCSS is the largest professional association in the country devoted solely to Social Studies education. Members of Rho Kappa will attend regular meetings after school during the 2021-2022 school year. The purpose of the meetings is to plan ways for the members to fulfill a need, or provide a service within the school and community, attend field trips to historical and/or educational sites, and attend programs with guest speakers.
