College Planning Overview

The College/Career counselor provides a program that focuses on the major aspects of career counseling and the college placement process. With a goal of 100% college acceptance, the college counselor works in coordination with faculty and school administration to assist students in discovering their strengths and interests, exploring career alternatives, and finding institutions of higher learning which will meet these interests, strengths, and values.
At NUI, The college counselor teaches a college planning course to all seniors in the fall (September to December). The counselor works closely with seniors two days a week on college applications.
