By NUI

On Monday, November 22nd, Twenty-two students were inducted into the Noor-Ul-Iman High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS).  The ceremony was attended by parents, teachers and administrators.

The purpose of NHS is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in high school students.  NHS selection is based on academics, leadership, service and character.  Members must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.7.  NHS also strives for students who make voluntary contributions to the school or community and display leadership qualities like problem solvers and idea contributors.    Congratulations to the students on this accomplishment.  “We are proud of our students for their academic excellence and the leadership qualities they portray,” said Dr. Tammy Elmansoury, NUI High School Division Head.
