The application procedure for new students wishing to enroll for the 2013-2014 school year:

The Registration Application may be picked up from the Noor-Ul-Iman School Office located in the new school building between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. starting on Monday, March 25, 2013. (Please note that the Noor-Ul-Iman School Office is closed for spring break from Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 5, 2013.) Completed Registration Applications will be accepted from Monday, April 8 through Friday, April 12, 2013. Please do not bring in your application before this time. The Registration Applications are being made available early to allow time for gathering the necessary materials. You will need to provide:

  1. The Original Birth Certificate and Immunization Record for each child. Please note that to enter Pre-K, your child must be at least three years of age by October 31, 2013 and toilet trained. To enter Kindergarten, your child must be five years of age by October 31, 2013, and be able to use the toilet independently.

  2. School Records for each child entering first grade or above. This includes report cards, standardized test scores, teachers’ evaluations, any reports or tests from learning specialists, discipline records and any other additional information pertaining to your child’s education.

  3. A 10% Tuition Deposit. This deposit will be refunded if your child/children are not accepted by Noor-Ul-Iman School. If your child/children are accepted by Noor-Ul-Iman School the 10% Tuition Deposit will not be refunded if you withdraw your application.

If your child/children are accepted by Noor-Ul-Iman School, the following must be submitted within ten business days of the acceptance:
1) a one-time Family Enrollment Fee of $2,000
2) a Book Fee of $100 per student in KG or above
3) a Science Lab Fee of $50 per student in 6th through 8th grade and/or $75 per student in 9th through 11th grade
4) a facility fee of $400
5) an ISCJ membership form (if applicable).

There will be very limited openings for certain grade levels, so admission will be competitive. Criteria will include academic and behavioral performance for children entering first grade and up, and personal references. A family interview will also be required before acceptance.

Insha’Allah, decisions on all applications will be made no later than May 31, 2013, and the school will inform applicants of the decision sooner if possible. Please do not contact the school before May 31st to inquire about the status of your application.

We hope that this information helps to make the registration process clear. Remember that it is your responsibility to come to the school office on or after Monday, March 25, 2013 to pick up a Registration Application.
