The application procedure for new students wishing to enroll for the 2014-2015 school year:

The Registration Application may be picked up from the Noor-Ul-Iman School Office located in the new school building between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. starting on Monday, April 7, 2014. (Please note that the Noor-Ul-Iman School Office is closed for spring break from Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 5, 2013.) Completed Registration Applications will be accepted from Monday, April 7 through Friday, April 11, 2014. Please do not bring in your application before this time. The Registration Applications are being made available early to allow time for gathering the necessary materials. You will need to provide:

  1. Completed Registration Application Form

  2. A 10% Tuition Deposit. This deposit will be refunded if your child/children are not accepted by Noor-Ul-Iman School. If your child/children are accepted by Noor-Ul-Iman School and you withdraw your application, the 10% Tuition Deposit will not be refunded.

  3. Noor-Ul-Iman Signed Policy Form (signed by both parents if applicable)

  4. Personal Reference Form

  5. Parent Questionnaire

  6. The original birth certificate and immunization record for each child. Please note that to enter Pre-K your child must be at least three years of age by October 31, 2014 and toilet trained. To enter Kindergarten, your child must be five years of age by October 31, 2014, and be able to use the toilet independently.

  7. School Records for each child entering first grade or above. This includes report cards (including this year’s report card to date), standardized test scores, teachers’ evaluations, any reports or tests from learning specialists, discipline records and any other additional information pertaining to your child’s education. Acceptance is dependent on past academic and social performance. An entrance exam might be required. Note that inaccurate or incomplete information provided at the time of registration may result in the denial or revoking of admission to Noor-Ul-Iman School.

Please note:      If your child/children are accepted by Noor-Ul-Iman School, you must come to Noor-Ul-Iman School within ten business days of your acceptance to complete the registration process. (Specific dates will be provided in your acceptance letter.) The following payments must be submitted at the time of registration:

 

  1. One-time family enrollment fee of $2000.00 payable to Noor-Ul-Iman School

  2. A Book Fee of $100.00 per student entering KG or above.

  3. A Science Lab Fee of $50.00 per student entering 6th – 8th grade and/or $75.00 per student entering 9th – 11th grade.

  4. Completed ISCJ Membership Form (if applicable) and Tax-Deductible Facility Fee Payment of $400.00 by check payable to the Islamic Society of Central Jersey or proof of paid 2014 ISCJ membership.

  5. Community Construction: $300 per student – Payment is due at the time of registration or in installments over 10 months ($30 per month). It is also tax-deductible.

 There will be very limited openings for certain grade levels, so admission will be competitive. Criteria will include academic and behavioral performance for children entering first grade and up, and personal references. A family interview will also be required before acceptance.

Insha’Allah, decisions on all applications will be made no later than May 31, 2014, and the school will inform applicants of the decision sooner if possible. Please do not contact the school before May 31st to inquire about the status of your application.

We hope that this information helps to make the registration process clear. Remember that it is your responsibility to come to the school office on or after Monday, March 24, 2014 to pick up a Registration Application.
